  • Each Tactile model has been designed and manufactured using quality materials that closely mimic the feel and mechanics of the joint anatomy. It is possible to perform a number of procedures multiple times on certain models. In the case of shoulder or knee skin, if you are establishing portals as part of your training you would need a new skin for each trainee/participant.

  • Our Sports med Shoulder Model can be set up in either beach chair position or lateral decubitus using our Shoulder Arthroscopy Positioner. 

    Our Arthritic Shoulder Model has its own positioner, unique to that model. 

  • Your standard instrumentation will work on the Tactile models. We also offer some basic non-sterile instrumentation if you would prefer to have instruments that are utilized solely for training purposes.

  • The design of our knee and shoulder arthroplasty models is such that they are robust enough to handle standard implants.

  • Each model is designed with different built in pathologies. The following procedures can be performed on each Tactile model:

    Sports Shoulder:

    • Labral repair

    • Rotator Cuff repair

    • Remplissage

    • DTA (Bone blocks are available)

    • Detached labrum (12-15% glenoid bone loss)

    • Rotator cuff tear

    Arthroplasty Shoulder:

    Sports Knee:

    Arthritic Knee:

    • Cortical and cancellous bone

    • Varus and valgus models available

    Advanced Knee:

    There are 4 meniscus tears built into the model (Root, HCT, Vertical, radial tear)
